This course provides formal training in business process modeling using standards based modeling methods.  Training includes functional, workflow and information flow modeling with emphasis on data/process integration.

Process Modeling Standards and Best Practices

This workshop provides combined training and development of standards and best practices.  The workshop addresses naming standards, graphical standards, modeling notation usage, process metadata usage, and process model life cycle management.  At the completion of the workshop, students will have developed an initial set of standards and best practices for their work context.

Process/Performance Analysis and Metrics

 This workshop provides training in process gap analysis (correctness, completeness and resources).  Process optimization methods and design of controls and metrics and their relationship to effective processes will be emphasized. Process based cost analysis and cost of ownership metrics are included.

Process/Performance Synthesis

This workshop provides training in the use of object based design of processes.  Emphasis is placed on the use of virtual machine models to describe state changes in process objects as well as the application of controls and metrics in process design.
